Forget melo-hardcore. Grindcore is clearly the most stylish, clever, subtle, radical, swaggery genre out there. It's energetic and speedy too!

I'm pretty sure Trap is much too slow. If you can make it work, definitely try, but it sounds like they're more wanting Drum and Bass, aggressive Trance, maybe some fast Jump/Hardstyle.

I don't think the aim is for just "fast music" as long as you make good songs you should be able to get in regardless if it's fast or not (to a certain extent of course, this album won't unfortunately feature 60 bpm piano improvisational songs etc, but hey I could be wrong).
I think something to aim for instead will be making something original instead I don't think anyone wants an album with 40 artists mimicking every step of knife party

But then again I'm not the one to decide, it is all up to circuitfry and the others, I may very well be completely wrong, just giving people some heads up. :3
