I already asked Sci to change my element from Eurotrance to Dubstyle, but just a heads up for everypony: Eurotrance is available again.

I think Zorg probably doesn't think it'll work with everything else. Actually, I'm a bit worried about that too. We're gonna need some really good transitions for this song to work. :D

It has the toms and squeaky synth leads with a house beat underneath. Think Afrojack.

I'm not sure at what state this project is currently at, but although I'm new to the mixing, remixing, and audio production scene, allow me to take on the Element of Industrial music.

Several pages into this thread and I guess we forgot what the thread was about in the first place.

So we have quite a load of subgenres of subgenres that are being snagged left and right, how are we to make a song utilizing every one of them? We're dealing with different software, signatures, tempos, styles, people...

Establish an order. The current person works with the next one in order to make sure that it blends into something the next artist can work with.

This could work, and get us working with people we otherwise wouldn't.

Ipie's idea is great, although we'd need some kind of order for the genres.

in related news, i'll be less responsive everywhere for some time because university. :c

This is where music theory and the freeform of I.D.M. will need to come in. Strategic breakdowns and buildups into the different material.

I could see some of the orchestral pieces being good key points in the track to set the mood, and to flow into new genres. They could be used throughout the entirety of the track.

You could also build it based on BPM, building one off the other, house to electro, electro to dub, dub / step genre, then into drum and bass, drum and bass into hardcore, slowdown into hardstyle, pick back up into glitch and breakcore, ect, ect. (just an example)

This would all really be up to what sounds are used, and up to the person who is doing the final mixture. Which leads into sound mixing. Some sounds will mix better with other sounds, while some may not so much. It takes particularly a good ear to hear sound compliment.

In my opinion, the final mix should be left for later, and everyone should work on their individual piece. At the end, we throw them each into a pack and offer up to anyone who wants to do their version of the final mix, and throw it up as a majority vote based on the judgement of the mixing properties.
