I played it like three times and got to like 2 or 3, at best. It's a pretty challenging game, and I suppose that's what makes it addicting.

BUUUUUUUT, I don't quite seem to understand why a lot of people hate that game. It's not expressing any view points on hot topics that are against mainstream views, I haven't really heard of any glitches with it, I don't think(?) there's a share or invite button on the game, I don't recall seeing one at the least. I have no idea why quite a bit of people dislike it.

Lol, speaking of flappy bird, people are selling their devices with FB installed because the creator took it off the app store, and devices are going for insane prices

Yeah, I heard he got sued by Nintendo, because of the pipes. But in the update he changed them to look less like them, so I dunno.

I think it was more of a case that the developer couldn't stand all the hate he got for it.

He felt bad for the success the game had according to what I've heard.
He earned about 10 000$ a day on the game alone.
An IPhone with the game installed sold for 100 000$ in an auction... For unknown reasons.

Rumors are kind of rampant. My brother actually said that it was because one person had killed another over the game. But with the kind of money the guy was earning from that game, I would spend about one year saving it up and just pay off college, buy a nice house and build myself a nice studio, and then retire at the age 25.

Actually Nintendo released a statement that said they had no complaints about flappy bird.

I can't find the article, but I read that EA actually offered him a job in a rather obvious attempt to wrangle the rights to it from him, commercialize it, and make it the new 'Angry Birds' with ridiculous amounts of merch and products based off of it.

Nguyen couldn’t take the criticism

Imagine if overnight you suddenly had an inbox full of messages from people slamming your livelihood. This is what happened to Nguyen. When people realised how frustratingly difficult Flappy Birds was they took to Twitter to vent and Nguyen was their target. This guy simply created a game and despite it hitting lofty heights of popularity the cutting criticism over its difficulty could be the cause to why he shut up shop. Nguyen even expressed on Twitter how it was “ruining” his simple life.

Perhaps the most telling reason to why the app is no more was revealed in a Twitter conversation with games website Kotaku where Nguyen explains how he didn’t pull the game because of legal reasons but because of the players themselves. He didn’t like how people became crazed with the game and believed people were “overusing it” and creating an addiction. Perhaps he didn’t want another Candy Crush plaguing mobile gamers. Then again, his bank manager wouldn’t have minded.

All in all, I don't care that it's gone. I'm just glad that it went down before becoming just like Angry Birds.

Playing it upside-down I got 24.

So I've just played Flabby Bert, and I got 14. Typical scores for anybody whose played the original Flappie Bird.
