Its a second hand 2005 model American Fender Telecaster. I am so stoked about it. It has the most beautiful clean tone. Now I just need to learn some more pretty guitar songs. :3

nice! what kind of amps do you use? i need a new one the one i got with my fender doesnt do my bass any justice

Well not sure if you're asking bout bass or guitar here but ill answer both cos why not?

For guitar, I have a Roland GC408 with a matching cab. It's not really what I want at the moment and i'm borrowing it from my uncle, so if I can get this new job I applied for (or have my current job even give me a shift or two over christmas) I should be able to start looking at getting a modern head and cab combo. Was thinking a Marshall but i'm not really sure. Gonna have to try a bunch and find something I like and that fits the sound and power my band needs when we play live.

For bass I only have a practice amp, but with my band we used to use I think a Fender Rumble, which sounded rad, but again, and like many bands we kind of leant towards just buying a head and cab for it too. The brand of head we got was an Eden - i'd never heard of it until we got it. That doesn't stop it from sounding beast though.

Really getting an amp is kind of a personal preference and dependent on what you need it for. I wouldn't be getting a normal amp cos I don't need one and it doesn't suit what I need it for. You'll never really know unless you go out and try a bunch and see what you like.

A buttload of cute tinkling bells.
Notebook Memories, the debut album from yours truly, is currently up on my bandcamp for free. Any feedback, encouragement, hate mail, etc. is highly appreciated! Even just listening is pretty cool of you tbh.

So Eric Garner is someone who died from police brutality in July 2014. Unlike the brown case, this one was captured on video. It showed how he wasn't being violent, but then the police arrested him and put him in a choke hold while tackling him and attempting to hand cuff him. While on the ground, he claimed that he could not breathe. He repeated it over and over. He died on scene and there were no medical treatments done to him on scene to try to help him breath again or to do anything to help him out.

These are just facts. I have yet to make an official opinion beyond the first reaction opinion.
But it happened in July and I have not heard about it until just today.
It makes me saddened though. This dude didn't deserve to die, he didn't actually break any laws.
What's up with that?
Idk

If it's just the snow laying on the ground your talking about, then pretty much no reverb on any thing, except maybe on verrrrrry very high frequencies. Since snow doesn't reflect sound. Then some wind noises, whisteling in the trees, but not so it sounds like leavs rustling, since they have no leavs in winter.

All in all, lots of silence, and no reverb.
And fartsounds layerd over footsteps :I Cause that is the sound footsteps make on snow

Add cutsie bells to every song in december to mess with everyone. Or you could just private all your soundcloud uploads on christmas day and reupload christmas carols with your song titles instead, that'd be neat.

So like looks like I'm out of commission for racing as one of my team mates rolled the car and fucked the roof, and broke the windscreen... such is life though, the seasons over for this year anyway, and we've got until April to fix it

Someone had an accident in the car Abby's team uses to race, now the roof and windsheild are caved in. Oh well, shit happens, there's plenty of time to fix it.

C'mon dude there was barely any Australian slur in that.

The accuracy of this actually fooled me into thinking a local bogan was actually in the room with me, good job.

Seriously though even I find the way people talk here weird, I actually get asked if I'm actually from here because my accent is all muddled because I watched too much tv growing up.

Has anyone read the book 1984?
It's about a dystopian society where the government controls everything.

My entire senior class is playing a game where we follow the strict rules of the dystopian society. There are secret police that nobody knows who it is that report people for breaking rules.

It's going to be an interesting 2 days.

I dont understand why you couldnt use bells in dark ambient. I mean bells are creepy as fuck. Think like old churchbells. Spooky

If upbeat carols in a shopping mall can somehow be depressing (it feels so forced) then bells can go in dark ambient. Also it's not called 'no-percussion ambient', don't fixate on the genre so much and just do whatever feels appropriate.

I mean, Tubular Bells is literally a song about bells, and it's used in the intro to The Exorcist. Really, with any sound, it's more the keys and cadences that determine whether a sound is dark.

It's kinda required reading for just about every high school curriculum, being the most ubiquitous example of the dystopia genre. Personally, though, I think Brave New World was a richer story.
