I'm about 3/4 through writing a 10 minute presentation that I may or may not have to give at uni on Tuesday (depends on if I get picked). I'd kind of put it off till this weekend because I had other assignments to do, luckily talking about Bob Moog for 10 minutes or so is something I can totally do.

I'm pretty sure we might have done the exact same assignment by coincidence.

Here we go.
I was browsing a bunch of YouTube videos about conspiracies.
And one of then kind of peaked my attention. More out of imagination as I'm not really actually sure what to think of the situation if it were true.
But there is one conspiracy theory about the existence of something called Nibiru.
It's a planet and it's apparently close to earth.
I don't believe in it cuz I've never seen it. But apparently there are videos all about it. Unfortunately all of them are like really long and it won't hold my attention.
But I liked the way nibiru sounds.
Like, it could be a really cool artist name. And then I could create both electronic and ambient music that could fit the theme of nibiru for space and planetary music type stuff. I like the idea of space themed music too.
But yea if I change my artist name (again) I'll probably do Nibiru and then I'll also be able to make cool art for my songs using the nibiru theme.

Has anyone else even heard of nibiru before?

Pfffft. Likely story.

As if Ambient isn't Electronic in nature.

:3

Nah, jokes aside, I believe the zebras in Project Horizons speak of Nibiru. I like the sound of the word but nothing besides that.

Oh and Space Ambient is actually an existing genre. I know Freewave did some of that. It's really space-ish drawn out Drone Ambient basically.

I mostly liked it for the way it sounded as well.
I was thinking about how artists should have cool names and stuff. And that was cool sounding. It's short too so making a cool looking logo would be cool with this.
Plus it's a space related things and I have wanted a space themed name for some time now.
(mostly cuz luna)
But I didn't really want it to have to be mlp related so a few luna related names were out for me
Nibiru just kind of fit
I'll use it probably later on when I get even better with music. (or when I'm not music dead anymore)

the fact that it starts with "n" and ends with "u" also creates some semblance to the concept of symmetry, if you're going for that lowercase, herbert bayer aesthetic (eesh that word)

nunununununu also danah boyd and zachary quinto sometimes and add
s p a c e
between each character bc space theme :(

Can I ask when ppl became bronys? Or do we have a thread for that?
Hosting a small meetup, and it turns out most of my friends joined the fandom between S3 and S4, while I joined at Lesson Zero, in the beginning of S2. I feel like such an oldschool brony now :I

Beautiful xD

Well I believe I found out about the brony culture around Jan/Feb 2013. A bit further than halfway through S3 at least. I still ever so much love how coincidental my first MLP:FiM escapede was, the very first time I enjoyed it without realizing it.

Two hours of subconscious morbid curiosity and related videos, starting with Epic Wub Time.

For me it was a video of DJ Pon3 bobbing her head while AlexS' remix of CMC played. I posted it to fb and then my friend added me to a fb group that his brony friends were in and I was like "what's a brownie?" and then I searched it up and was like "well may as well watch it" and I enjoyed it so yeah.
