It's sorta ridiculous how much useless shit we were taught on school, for instance in math, we were taught all kinds of abstract math concepts, but not basic taxes, how to manage your own economy.

My first reaction to this was like "OH HELL NO!!!", cause I'm studdying electrical engineering... and that means I'm studdying some pretty darn abstract shit! If you think derivatives are abstract, you ain't seen nothing yet! I learn and use alot of 'abstract' concepts , and I have to devote a shitload of time and energy on understanding them, so I got a little pissed off when you called them useless...

Im not saying that abstract math, or anything you learn in school isnt useful, as most of them can be put to a purpose, and even if they cant, mathematical concepts can be amazing in themselves before they even get a clear purpose. Information is never useless, but not all information is useful in every situation.

If you're intrested to learn these things, amazing. It's just why would I have to learn about it when it matters nothing to my life if it even existed or not?

I dunno, I feel Its comparable to a bear teaching its cub about jupiter over how to catch fish.

Well, you have to understand that e^ix is actually a spiral around the x-axis.

Which itself doesn't really make sense unless you understand that it has the same Taylor series expansion as cos x + i sin x.

Even then, it's still kinda mind-blowing.

Except dimazzio guitar strings, got a set for $15 and I'm cheering!

But seriously everything's so expensive I just want a noise suppressor, a tuner, and a wireless and to buy all that new would cost me somewhere between $400-$500. It's like please I'm not made of money ffs haha.

Been keepin an eye out for second hand gear, you can get some awesome stuff second hand. Like just recently I got a 120w Bugera 333xl Infinium amphead and Marshall 1960 A lead 4x12" cabinet for a total of $700 (au). For a head and cab combo, that's pretty damn good.

I got my 48 key and 16 knobs and sliders + pitch and mod whele midi keyboard from a friend who never used it, cause he prefered his digital piano, and didn't want the midi keyboard taking up space (I gots for free, yay). I hardly use it though... If I had a dedicated setup fpr music, and music only it could probably work... I'm thinking about selling it since the ms 20 minis keyboard can send mididata anyway... for now I'm just to lazy to address the real problem. That I have a crazy messy desk.

Hah, neat. We'll have to nut out some details later, but it'd be good if we could get guitar parts (if we're doing that) first so we can have a rough guide track to work off of. Also this trimester at university I'm mostly in classes with friends, which is great because I barely knew anyone in my classes last trimester.
