A word regarding Pinnacle Records

Postby Mr. Bigglesworth » 27 Jul 2013 02:37

Some of you may have been approached by a label called Pinnacle Records, and I think it's important that anyone who is approached should know that they have made massively unprofessional moves with my music in the past, along with other people on this forum.

Have a copypaste from a PM to explain the exact details.

I wrote:Well, I'm asking Occular what they did with him, but they fucked up pretty bad with me.

I made a song, which I intended as a free release, to have Remix stems linked in the description and a link to a HD .wav.

I specified this clear as crystal to them, they even asked me to clarify.

So, what'd they do?
Announce they'll be selling it on bandcamp with neither my consent as the content's original creator and owner nor to my benefit. Just their financial gain.

I think Ocular's had a similar problem to that. So I'm gonna find out from Ocular and go have a chat with them.

Trust me, it's not worth the hassle. You can do better than them.

They have an article about a $750000 deal someone signed with them...I'm highly doubtful of this.

I'm not even sure if they have legit contracts with their artists ;P

They just "signed" everyone and got some followers back because of that..

The PM was between Biggsy and I, so have another copypaste from that discussion:
Nine Volt wrote:And when I asked him who they are:
Mr. Bigglesworth wrote:They're some kids from Brittain.
They're not anything huge.

They don't even have contracts
"wanna be signed?"
"kay"
"you're signed"

Couple that with the fact that they're not a legimate business and they're selling other people's work and you have an unproffesional, poorly staffed mess.

By the way, that's not their website. It's another with the same name.

Honestly, I'm considering trying it again, because they're a lot more professional now. People actually get signed. But we'll see.

So is this thread needed or what? Are we supposed to avoid this net label or not? Also not linking the correct label in the thread has thrown a bit of confusion on what any takeaway is....

I dunno, I'm going off past experience. But I might give them another chance if they're any better by now.
