So I got a message from someone asking how to add music to a soundcloud group, so I was like "idk what you mean" and looked at the only soundcloud group I'm in, and not only do I see that they added the cover art for the group that I made for it months ago, but apparently, I'm a mod for it now. (I've never been a mod of anything) Yaaaaaayyyy...

Link to the group below...

So, today my favorite pair of headphones that I've been using for over two years broke; a wire broke on the inside so they only play if held in a certain way constantly.

However, the reason I'm posting this in the good news thread: I bought a new pair of studio quality headphones last week on Amazon because they were on sale, so I have another, even better pair to replace them just in time!

Hey, I was just coming in here to say that! The audio jacks of microphones are unfortunately one of the weak points in their construction.

That being said, while I too now have a worthless set of headphones, since it's the weekend I can easily go and pick up another identical pair at the local Hastings store tomorrow. If they'd broken on Monday, I'd have to wait a week until I could do so, but I'm more than happy to take what I can!

Plans are being made for next year, we're contacting people in the family I can stay with for a little while and otherwise everything else is pretty simple. Apply for Centerlink rent assistance, get some casual work and start my driving lessons next week.

Good news everyone! Lots of good stuff happened!

1) I just made my best Harsh Noise recording yet.
2) Soon I'll be at the CCL 4 days a week! The financial aid thingie has been arranged at long last!
3) I have been thinking, and have come to the realization that what I have been told could mean that my music will get close to Pete Tong!

Talked my parents into going 50/50 with me on a computer for Christmas!
It's gonna take a while to get here, and probably a bit over a month to pay off my half, but it'll be so nice having more then a core duo and two gigs of RAM. I also got a few free games due to black friday sales. :D

Well, it seems like I've gotten over my creative block! Atleast, I have for now, anyway! I took the time to play around with a few synths and FX I rarely use, like Harmless and TAL Elec7tro, and tried my hand at happy hardcore - which is a genre I freaking adore but never got round to producing. I'm gonna be starting a happy hardcore alias and everything. ^^

You guys have no idea how much it means to me, and how great I now feel in general. Feels like the weight of the world has lifted from my shoulders. :3

Yup... So proud... c':
It's probably the most effort I put in to a school project in a few years! And is beautiful!
I wonder if I made anyone watch the show..?

Am I alone in getting a kick out of doing silly stuff?
Or are there others out there like me? Who want nothing more than lulz?

Oh god, I remember back in the day when I would get really heated at people over Dash's sexuality. I always argued that she's straight, and the arguments were always a lot of fun and angriness.

I would like to point out something with your presentation though. With the part where you mentioned her attitude towards the males, she doesn't seem to hold a negative attitude against Soarin (as seen in both the season 1 and 2 finals). Personally I would say that she isn't, but judging by how many close-to-shipping scenes there have been in season 4, the writers may be trying to subtly hint her as one to appeal to the adult audience.

But did the professor present your video as a joke or as a serious "here's a great submission" type of thing?

The only reason I dared take the subject was because I know how much he loves provoking, and so far I haven't gotten any comment on it other that "you did a lot of research" and some laughter,, so I think he sees it as a serious analysis on a not so serious topic (which is what it is). But he did present it mostly as a joke though. (He showed all video projects in class, most people did papers though)

Sorain is a good point though... I thought of him, but I wasn't sure of how him being a Wonderbolt affected it all. I would assume the positive image of him being a Wonderbolt would override her initial reaction of him being a colt. If we compare it to how she acts around Spitfire though... When she saves Sorain's pie at the Galla in S1 final episode, judgeing by her facial expressions I think she looks more uncomfortable when Sorain is around than when it's only her and Spitfire... Idk, that's my interpretation.

As to not derail this thread though, if you wanna discuss it, leave a comment on the video instead of here.

My upgrade to Komplete 9 Ultimate just came in the mail :D

It's was my Christmas present to myself, and I can't wait for it to finish installing.

I also finished all my shopping for family and friends. Found out that I'm just as awful at wrapping as I was last year.

The other day I visited a few of my friends whom I haven't seen in person for more than three years. We've talked a bit online but nothing much. It wasn't until later that I realized we had absolutely no trouble talking to one another just as we used to. It was like not time had passed at all.

We also had been drinking a little, which may have helped.

Oh, and I finally upgraded to the full version of Cubase! Now I just have to get used to all the changes...

Just got a copy of Ableton :D.

I have to say getting the boxed version was worth it just for the manual, which is actually really well written. Now I just have to wait for a computer to install it on.
