The weirdest music you have found that is surprising good?

Chances are when you browse the interwebs, you are bound to find something that is both silly and surprisingly good. So good in fact that you will put it on your iPod and listen to it regularly. (or at least listen to it time to time). so if you find any, post them here! and share the strangeness

here are some that i think are great and stilly and strange at the same time.

this first one is, well i think it is, incredible. vocals, instruments, its all great!

and this one makes me laugh when i listen to it. especially at 0:56

inb4 everyone thinks i listen to plain old strange music ,_,

Now, i don't know if you've actually ever heard of this. Let's just say, cool concept, horrible execution. (I actually owned this game as a kid. Uuew. It was a really bad game)

Now a few years later i just happened to stumple upon the games soundtrack. I didn't expect to much when i decided to listen to it, but i was to my pleasure surprised by it

Awful game, pretty cool music.

Weird music that is surprisingly good?

Does Primus count? They've just got that really wacky sound that doesn't sound like anything else out there.

Supersaw Hoovers music. I dismissed it at first, then someone told me to listen to discord (luna mode) with headphones on, after that I loved it. I can imagine the fun in making that kind of music, and will probably make something bigger at one point like that too, but in my own style. :)

A few days ago I came across this song. What's that instrument called in the beginning? I forgot.
Either way, it works godly with a solid percussion! Although the song does get a LITTLE out-of-hand later on imho..

Not bad though, I like it. Its the beginning that's the best if you ask me.
I love music, and this show. I hope that my stay here will inspire others just as you inspire me.

Odd Future

Tyler's production is so steeped in that dissonant, avant garde minimalist rap vibe, I feel like one of his biggest influences was what The Neptunes did Hell Hath No Fury.....right on down to the 50% success/failure rate. And boy are the failures unlistenable.....

I also recently got into Sean Price's post Heltah Skeltah shit.....

and "Boom Bye Yeah" is just one of those beats that leaves me baffled as to how exactly it was made

its some kind of.....guitar-ish riff thing?? being cut by a turntablist so hard it makes my head

just unapologetically raw, hardcore BOOM BAP hip-hop shit anchored by something that sounds like a nasty seizure.

That thing is awesome

I don't like 70's classic rock much at all. the 60's psychedelic rock is awesome, 80's metal and dance pop is fun, 90's alternative and college rock is what I grew up with.

But for some reason I really like Neil Young, his music is just so surreal and beautiful

art is the quintessential embodiment of telepathy, it is how we show each other the inside of our minds

As a whole, the best weird music I know is Boards of Canada. They've been one of my favourite artists for months. However, I just recently discovered this. It's super strange but I think it's awesome nonetheless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0pUyqUq ... plpp_video

Between the Buried and Me. Archetypal progressive death metal - you've got screaming, growling, heavy riffs, and face-melting solos... But then there's the progressive aspect - they'll break down without warning and play a light acoustic or ambient passage, complete with beautifully clean vocals (and all the vocals are done by one guy), or, even stranger, you'll have a breakdown that leads into an entirely different genre. Try 'Sun of Nothing' for this - its first few minutes of brutal metal give way to a short ragtime section, and the big breakdown at about six or seven minutes in leads into a section that, if cut, mixed, and released separately, could probably be on alternative radio stations.

Also, the stuff that deadmau5 doesn't ever play on his tours. His earlier, non-house stuff, and what he uploads to his Soundcloud... The weird stuff.
