An Irresistible Attraction

Postby jubian » 05 Jan 2012 08:22

Well, much like the beginning of my musical and MLR hiatus, the end of my hiatus has abruptly come, and I'm making music once again. Dear lord, music has a serious grip on me, and I have no idea why. Hopefully I'll eventually get good enough soon, so that my ego won't put me off music again!

Big shout-out to Replacer, H8_Seed, EHT and StormWolf for getting me back on my feet! You guys are the best!

'music' and 'hiatus' could be euphemisms ;D

Okay, scratch that. I've just come across a revelation that "there is so such thing as bad music or a bad musician", and now whenever I listen to any song, I hear something that the artist truly excels in compared to me, which frustrates the fuck out of me. Being the hypocrite I am, I can't see how that quote applies to me.

Pardon me for a moment, I'm going to have another meltdown.

EDIT: Sorry for being a whiny bitch. I'll quit informing you guys of my frequent hiatuses from now on.

Instead of "I can't be that good!" Think "What does he do to sound better than me?" Then do that. It's all a matter of perspective. You only give up because you let yourself, so don't! If you don't like your music, find out why you don't like it and fix that!

By all means be patient and just try to make the best music that YOU can make. Part of that is just by learning how to make music well so maybe focus on learning first and then think about producing at a brony level (which is still an amateur musician most likely) at a later time. Don't feel the pressure is on you to do it all immediately and make sure its fun and something that you definitely want to do.
