just don't advertise your personal blog as a music /art / etc blog.

when you start a public tumblr representing you in the music community, people will go to it because they want to follow as a fan of the music you create, not as a fan of whatever happens to turn you on.

No. My tumblr is my personal tumblr, for me and my gain only. I'll be posting whatever I want and I'll let nobody stop me.

If people like the things I post then lucky me, I guess.

I guess then it behooves you (sorry bad pun) to put NSFW by any link or signature from your music persona TO your personal blog. That gives people a fair warning to steer clear or that they're likely going to run into pornography. That's what pinkiepieswear does on their YT links to their blog (are they just a big fan of Princess Molestia or did they do music and then draw the cartoon? I've never gotten an answer on that....sorry i digress) and its the right choice. You give people an adequite warning and you get to run the blog YOU want to run. Not doing that is kinda scummy tbh.

We're not trying to gang up on you and judge you on your interests (I love the rule 34 stuff too actually) but it's unfair not to give people a warning of what they're going to encounter on a link, and porn and gore are two of those things that you want to give a heads up on. If you do that you can run whatever blog you want with whatever content you want free of conscience (of course some people may STILL judge you as a person by what you post, sorry to say).

I guess what I'm saying is...

1. If you have a NSFW blog, make sure there are tags that indicate that.
2. It's not recommended to tie in your music persona to your own personal blog, if that blog is used for non-music related purposes.
3. If you choose to not follow either of the above, don't act surprised when people post on pony confessions or other sites criticizing you as a person or musician.

PPS actually deleted a lot of content from his tumblr and is now advertised as SFW. He now seems to be answering questions based solely around his music/technique, and is also looking for a new name to reach out to a broader audience.

ok that changed more recently. when i was going on there and seeing nothing but princess molestia so i thought they were either the artist for that too or just a very big fan. sounds like pps is on their way out of brony inspired music but i got that feeling from long gap in releases too. sad to see them go.

Interrobang Pie if those screenshots are of warnings on your links my apologies (i'm at work so i can't check them out). My point was in general to anyone who includes nsfw content openly on their blogs. If you've been doing that all this time then people should be getting over that and not using it as an example. I hope this discussion wasn't seen as finger pointing and was seen as a discussion on how to stop any moaning on the subject by people taking the correct steps to minimize that.
