ayy Merry Christmas to you all!
Also made a quick joke'ish Christmas song some hour before I left work for vacation, thought it would be appropriate to share: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/953 ... 0Be%29.mp3
Turns out being out drinking the day before and screaming a lot makes a pretty decent santa voice

Merry Christmas to one and all!

I got a ukelele for christmas :P
The transition from drummer to strummer isn't quite as hard as I expected.

And wow! Love that track LFP! If that's a "quick" song... then wow...

I wonder why people thought it would be a good idea to make bots to PM people links to pornographic websites using soundcloud.
Of all places. Soundcloud.
;_; if only new accounts had restrictions that didn't allow it to have all the functions of a regular account. That way these 13 hour old accounts stop sending me links to "moms in my area".

Some quick fingering on the bass with some piano improv and we pretty much had our song, the intro actually took the longest time haha
Even using the default logic drums in this which surpringly sounds pretty decent when I layered some together
But I'm glad you enjoyed it

Also; hi and welcome gain!

It's been pretty quiet around here, tbh. I'm not sure where all of the fandom musicians hang out these days, but it's mostly just a handful of chicks and dudes who really come around here, these days. A lot of changes of administration and ownership has apparently been cause for people to leave for greener pastures.

Seems silly, because a lot of people say they don't like mlr for one bad reason or another, then complain that the music scene is dying. Go figure.

Well, people are posting quite regularly in the music sections of MLP Forums but it's almost all just people advertising their new songs, none of the production discussion that made MLR awesome. I know I didn't post much but I miss coming here to learn new techniques or find awesome new songs, I've certainly been away for longer than I would have liked.

I don't think the music scene is dying though, it's just not as outspoken as it used to be. Sure, a bunch of the more well known musicians have moved on but EqD is still able to put up spotlights and music of the day every couple days. I guess the majority just like to keep to themselves or have their own little circles that they interact with, who knows, maybe it is dying and I'm just in denial lol. Either way, I do regret not becoming as much a part of this music scene back when the opportunities were there, I kinda missed the bus.

The way I see it, most activity here is just a circle of friends being friends together, with an occasional attempt to do something new and get people interested. While I doubt most of us who are still here will stop coming here any time soon, our numbers have dwindled over time and I'm pretty sure most of us have been focusing more on our own lives instead of our social lives. I know that I have been less active here than I used to be once upon a time, but I still check back oftenly.

Glad to see someone found their way back here though :)

(Oh, I guess it's noteworthy that most people I know from here are more lively on Skype together (or on other social media I guess), so well, we still exist, just mostly off-site (not that I'm on Skype that often ;~; ))

Makes sense that it would boil down to skype friends eventually. Still, it's a bit disheartening to see something that was so popular become so silent.

I had a random encounter with the headless horseman last night.
Well, I guess I'll just tell you what was happening.

I was walking along the mountain near my town. It was only a couple of miles away. There was a path, and it led from the town along the mountains and even into other towns.
Well, I heard a couple of people when I was walking on the path. It was night, and I was alone so I kind of started sneaking. I didn't really want people to know I was there in case they were thugs or bandits or something. (Hey. It could happen. Probably a lot.)

So, the left side of the path kind of had a wall of dirt. It sounded like the voices were coming from on the other side or on top. So I stayed closer to the wall to avoid being detected.

And that's when it happened. I looked along the path and I saw a deer running away from something. And up from the hill came the headless horseman. I could literally see right through him and his ghostly horse.
At first I thought it was creepy, but he just rode on by without paying any attention to me.
I was relieved that nothing happened.
But then it occurred to me that I should follow him.

Long story short, I did. And he led me to a grave yard. There were a couple of skeletons I shot down with my bow and I looted the hidden chest there.

I was talking about skyrim guys

No new year resolutions (except maybe 1920x1080), no top albums/movies/books list, so many things were and still are good.

I really enjoyed all the connections I made, all the doors I opened, all the words I shared, all the sounds I unearthed, oh I enjoyed so much. The rest was good too, but much less important to impart on this digital paper. Most of you know it anyways, no need to repeat it. So I focus on the good, and what it can give us.

And I feel it in my bones and my full belly, that next year will bring a lot of good to pass around too! So, my friends, let's make it so. Together.

Happy new year everyone!

Well happy new year all, I know it feels REALLY weird this year with the state of the community (if you can call it that anymore). I wish things were different and people were posting their top pony songs and albums for the year lists, hanging out in familiar sites, or talking more positively about it all. It was a fun ride and maybe it won't fully end. Either way I hope you all have a good year.

over the course of the last like, 8-9 months, my "focus/obsession" has slowly been turning from pony back into pokemon.
Like, there is a lot of pokemon content thats still new to me, and pony seems to be kind of juiced dry at the moment.
I think that if I were more inactive with the pony scene, my interest would eventually return.

Similarly, I played pokemon in elementary and middle school, but stopped and now my interest is back.
And I played kingdom hearts 1 and 2 and then now my interest in that franchise is picking up again with the new content thats finally coming out.
So, maybe given some time, I'll get my interest back in this too. idk

I'll actually regain an interest in Pokémon when they actually wise-up and start exploring the mysterious traits of the pokémon. Like the best pokémon; Xatu. Such an awesome concept and great mystery surrounding the pokémon, but never once is any of the potential explored.

Instead we get a copy/paste of a game and a TV show that really needs to drop Ash, or make him smart again and become a pokémon master already.

If you haven't played the Pokemon mystery dungeon games, then you're really missing out because they do a lot better at the concept of Pokemon than the other games and even the show.

Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team is why I even really like Xatu xD (I got really far in to it, and loved every second. Except that Tiny Woods song. So annoying xP)

Mystery Dungeon is great (judging by the first game) and Colosseum was also pretty cool. Anything else just seems to lack originality. Although I do hear rumors of improvements :P

If you have only played the first mystery dungeon game, I highly recommend picking up the 2nd and the 4th as those two are the best in the entire series so far.

Yea. So I deleted 99.999% of everything pony related on my phone.
Now, I have a bunch of t-shirts and wall art to do something with. Idk what though. I'm basically un-bronied now. :/ it's weird. Because it was something I've been so interested in for so long.
But now that I moved out, I feel like I just don't really care for it anymore.
Like, almost not at all.
I'm just upset because I spent so much money on the convention and getting my art, and now I'm getting rid of it all.

Hey, if it's upsetting you to be rid of something, then just keep it. And if you don't wanna do that, I'm sure there are other people who would want it xP

Sometimes I wonder if that's why I'm still a brony... Then I think about the friends I've made, and all the refferences we can share. I think that's a pretty big reason why I'm still a brony, cause it's something fun to share with my friends. If it wheren't for them I'd probably be way less up to date on what's going on in the fandom. I'd still watch the show tho :P

I don't see why you want to get rid of your stuff tho. You could just put it away somewhere, in a box, on the atic, or in the basment, or in your closet (hihi, then you'r a closet bronie :P).
Then again, I'm pretty much a hoarder... So you shouldn't take advice from me about keeping or getting rid of stuff.

Lol, the only reason I still haven't seen the majority of Season 5 episodes is because I still haven't been together with a friend of mine that I'd watch the show with. I don't wanna watch it with any of them having already seen it myself. (I'm not very good at being friends, what with having little (to no) successful life experience, so it's taking ages for me and one of my irl (but also online) brony friends to finally get together. Doesn't help I'm also busy as shit.)
