Might I just say that while watching the finale last night, I had the stupidest grin on my face the whole time? They did so many things right with it. Now I just marathon seasons 1 and 2 over and over again until season 3 releases.

Btw, I've heard rumors about John de Lancie returning to the show, what do you make of that? That would just mean Discord is coming back, right? (inb4 another villain song)

Yeah it was haha. Reminded me of Disney back in the '90s and early '00s. Very epic set pieces and music. Very well done.

well he said he recorded a "major story piece", whatever that means. I'm glad they went with a more inherently evil villain like Chrysalis this time, even if it was just because she reminded me of nightmare moon. though largely lacking in character depth by comparison. having a new cannon species is cool too, though they do seem like something straight out of a fan-fic.

I honestly didn't expect the finally to be this amazing, Vinyl Scratch and pinkie tag team on those massive speakers! Celestia was bad ass I don't care if she lost. Vinyl Scratch freaking spinning again YES! the changling fight scene had some of the best animation, if not the best so far. did I mention Vinyl showed up again?

Yeah, I didn't either. It seriously surprised me with how well written and executed the story was, and the new characters they introduced are all excellent.

Well, I finally got around to watching the finale. Loved it.

Overall the songs vocals were great. BBBFF is probably my favourite of the finale songs.

I read a comment on a YT vid that the finale changed everything. Seems a bit of hyperbole to me after watching it, but the way they defeated Chrysalis makes it entirely possible for her to return, more so than Nightmare Moon or Discord.

Also, I always found Nightmare Moon more interesting than Discord. Though Discord could be entertaining, he wasn't an... effective... villain (I mean he painted a bullseye on himself... literally).

So looking forward to the Season 3 premiere now, even if it is a ways off. /)^3^(\

Discord acts the un-serious because he's the lord of chaos, acting serious would be a clash of character ^ ^. However, we have seen him get frustrated when his sarcastic tactics don't work out, he simply buckles down and gets the job done.

Besides, I always like a villain who is clever and witty when he taunts the hero(es).
