Just take a sample of a pony saying a vowel, whether it's the middle of a word or so. But make sure the vowel is pronounced clearly. It should sound like they're saying the letter "a", e, i, o, u and sometimes y. Then, take the sample, which should be just the vowel itself, and use some program like Newtone or something to attach the sample to the middle C note. Then export the sample and add it as an instrument, in the sampler, change the volume envelope to the fastest attack, no hold, decay just below 50%, no sustain and release at just about 50% or so. Then you'll be able to control the sample much like a regular instrument, with the only exception being that if you want to hold out notes for longer than the sample, you can't, and you'll need to find a longer sample.

P.S. you'd sync the video with the song, not the song with the video. Unless the video is already made.

These videos are called YTPMV's, or "Youtube Poop Music Videos"
All the sound pitch correction and syncing are done in a video editor, the audio being from a small snippet of video. They manually sync the clips up by hand, and use pitch shifting to tune it to whatever song they are working with.

Not completely sure about this... When you're trying to edit audio with video attached you're severely crippled by the framerate (23.976 FPS). I'm sure some people have done it completely within a video editor, but it's probably just easier to go in afterwards and align clips by looking at the waveform of the finished audio.

umm yes they do, and that's not the standard framerate. the framerate is whatever you want it to be. i know a bunch of people who do it and i've done a few myself. they mainly use sony vegas cause it's the easiest one to do it with.

cplbadley's right in this case. And yeah, Vegas is the easiest to do it with.

Ah, my only experience is Premiere, but Vegas is supposed to be a lot better with audio so that makes sense. Also, regardless of any standard framerate, FiM is produced at 23.976 FPS, running at anything faster will either change the speed of the clip or cause a slight drop in quality.
