Can somepony teach me Ableton?

Postby CrimsonEpilogue » 04 Nov 2011 22:02

I recently pirated came across a copy of Ableton. I've not the slightest idea of how it works. I've messed around with random stuff, and came to the conclusion that it's very different from Reason. While I don't know Reason that well, I've noticed more of you guys use Ableton or FL Studio, Would anypony mind teaching me?

If you don't already have me on Skype, my username is CrimsonEpilogue.
Much appreciated.

Regards,
Crimson.

I can tell you that Ableton has built-in lessons, just look for the "Help" tab on top, and look for that ;)

I've had Ableton for a couple of weeks now, the tutorials are useful but these two videos really helped me get started.

Hope you find them useful!

Here are some orchestral soundfonts if you need/want them

[Make sure you thank him!]
Also these! http://sso.mattiaswestlund.net/

If you are planning on making non-orchestral then I can't help you much there, just look up tutorials online and lurk around the forums for tips and stuff. Good luck!

Thanks, I will definitely check the videos, and as for the soundfonts, no thanks, I'm planning on doing various styles of DnB, some Dubstep, Trance, and House. And maybe Hardstyle as well.
