Any metal guitarists out there?

Postby Trippy Chris » 10 Jul 2013 21:43

Not sure what to say exactly, but, I'm searching for other metal guitarists to jam and or collab with.
I myself have been playing for quite some time but have never gotten the chance to jam with someone. I do have many irl musician friends but none have the metal style that I chase.
I have many unfinished songs too, simply because I get lost and lose interest in that song, if I had someone I could work with I think some amazing riffs and even full on songs could be made.

Down below in my sig, you can hear what I play. If you like, message or reply and we'll talk.
Quick note: VV That recording was done all in one play session and just about all of it was made up on the spot, so there are mistakes and wrong notes here and there, but hey it's all about having fun. :P

Metal is rarely seen around here, and it's a shame, really.

I love thrash metal, and I play guitar, but the tone can be bit hard to pull when all you got is a crappy Strat copy in standard tuning and a free amp sim. :P I'll check your stuff later.
oops I dropped the bass

will you pick it up for me

Anyone remember the covers album? I was thinking, since there's many of us metalheads here - and someone already mentioned Metallica and Megadeth :P - we could collab on some tracks for that. I can play bass; I'm definitely a way better metal bassist than a guitarist. xP

I'm thinking something like 'Tallica's The Four Horsemen or Megadeth's Rattlehead. Maybe some Exodus or Testament if that's too mainstream. :P Maybe some Iron Maiden, as so many people seem to like them. Idk, what do you guys think?

Aha. Deffinately more leaning towards metallica/megadeth kinda metal. :3 I'd love to try nu-metal but drop tuning beyond D on my electric is a bitch haha

And when it comes to bass it's pretty similar. I'm more hard rock/heavy metal orientated.
